Why Am I Not Losing Weight?

If your family has been focused on living a heart healthy lifestyle, but your child’s labs or weight are not improving, read through this checklist to see if any of these pitfalls may be to blame.

I do less than 60 minutes of physical activity every day

I watch more than 2 hours of screen time every day

I have a TV in my room

I don’t eat 5-6 servings of fruits and/or vegetables every day

I drink soda, juice, or Gatorade

I don’t drink enough water

I eat out more than 1 time per week

I skip meals

I eat fast

I watch TV or I am on my phone while eating

I eat more than 1 plate of food at each meal

I eat more food right after I finish my meal

I eat when I am angry, sad, bored, or anxious

I have sugary drinks, processed foods, or junk food at home

I am the only one in my family on a diet

I am not consistent

I have only been on track for one week or less

It will be easier to set your goals, now that you know what to work on!
