Put Your Best Fork Forward

March is National Nutrition Month!

National Nutrition Month is a nutrition education and information campaign created annually in March by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The campaign focuses on promoting the importance of making informed food choices and creating healthy eating and exercise habits.

What is the 2017 theme?

“Put Your Best Fork Forward”, which is a reminder that every bite counts.

Key messages include:

  • Creating an eating style to include a variety of your favorite, healthful foods.
  • Practice cooking more at home with healthier ingredients.
  • How much we eat is just as important as what we eat.
  • Find activities you enjoy to stay active throughout the week.
  • Manage your weight or lower health risks by consulting with a dietitian.
