Fun Indoor Exercise Ideas for the Whole Family

As the sun begins to set earlier, it may be hard to get outside to exercise.

Exercising every day is an important part of living a healthy lifestyle.  This fall and winter, when getting outside may be more difficult, you and your child can still get in the recommended 60 minutes of daily aerobic activity.

Check out these great YouTube channels. These short videos will get you and your child up and moving. Combine a few different videos to reach your 60 minute goal. There are all types of fun videos, including yoga, strengthening and dance!

Who doesn’t love to get down and boogie?! Create a song playlist together as a family and then turn it on and start moving and shaking. Your child can teach you his or her favorite dance moves and you can embarrass them with yours. Create a playlist here.

Make an exercise card game! Click here to learn how to use a regular deck of cards to create a fun way for your family to get in some exercise.
