3. Stay active one way or another

4. Prepare your own meals instead of taking out

Preparing your own meals not only controls the calories in your meals, but also allows you to control the amount of sodium and other nutrients as well.

5. No eating in front of the TV

Limit eating to the kitchen table and make sure all electronics are put away or turned off. This allows you to focus on your meal and pay attention to hunger signals. Electronics often distract us and cause us to overeat without realizing it.

6. Don’t give up!

Stop getting on that scale to check your progress. The number on the scale is not an indication of success. Measure your progress by seeing how your clothes fit and how you feel each day.
